Discover WA's Newest Waterfall, City Falls

Step into the main foyer of ECU City and experience a digital dreamscape that reimagines nature in the heart of Perth city.

Inspired by the wild beauty, geology and biodiversity of WA, City Falls transforms ECU City's landmark four-story LED screen into a spectacular digital waterfall experience. See torrents of water cascading from the sky, explore fantastical floating islands inspired by ECU’s Schools and Kurongkurl Katitjin co-designed with staff and students.

City Falls, Beyond the Screen

For a limited time, experience City Falls beyond the screen through atmospheric lighting, sculptural rocks, native flora and scheduled mist effects, transforming the foyer into an immersive extension of the artwork.

Whether you're heading to work, between classes, meeting friends or exploring the city, City Falls creates a shared moment of wonder that encourages you to pause, look up and take it all in.

Simply head to the Forum at ECU City and discover WA’s newest waterfall at your own pace.

About City Falls

City Falls is a permanent large-scale digital artwork created for ECU City's landmark media architecture in collaboration with ECU staff, students and experience studio S1T2 (Story 1st, Technology 2nd).  Inspired by Western Australia’s natural environments, the artwork unfolds as a living digital landscape, transforming through the seasons and the changing light of day and night.

The initial public launch experience of City Falls runs from 26 October to 6 November, marking the first presentation of the work intended to become a recurring feature at ECU City.
