The Façade

A captivating digital canvas that brings ECU City to life through light, motion and storytelling.

The programmable external Façade, powered by 2,800 LED fixtures, transforms ECU City into a dynamic, large-scale platform for digital art and creative expression. Designed for high visibility and impact, it enables the University, artists, community groups and partners to showcase immersive visuals, motion graphics and storytelling that engage audiences in the heart of Perth. Fully adaptable and future-ready, the Façade offers a unique opportunity to create bold, memorable experiences at architectural scale.

Community Activations

The Façade is available to community groups and not-for-profit organisations seeking to celebrate milestones, raise awareness, promote community initiatives, or mark cultural events. As a highly visible platform, it offers a unique opportunity to connect with new audiences.

To ensure each activation on the building’s façade fins remains clear, impactful and memorable, only a limited number of external activations are approved each year, allowing every initiative to be seen, felt and remembered.

Application deadlines are 11:59 pm (WST) on the first Sunday of February, May, August and November. Each application round assesses requests for activations taking place approximately three months in advance.
