On-campus safety and security

Security at ECU is administered by Security and Traffic Services whose primary objective is to protect life and property while maintaining an environment that is safe and secure.

Our qualified, professional and committed Security Officers operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Campus Security services include patrols of buildings and grounds, accompaniments for students, staff and visitors, first aid, emergency response, alarms, conflict situations, delivery of security awareness programs and consultation on security systems.

NowForce App

ECU utilises the NowForce app, a new technology to keep ECU campuses safer. The ECU personal safety app is available for students and staff, providing a direct lifeline to our campus security personnel and is designed to help minimise response times to both emergencies, routine security and safety situations. The app has two main functions: an SOS (panic) button, and the ability to Report an incident.
