People, Safety and Culture Committee

The People, Safety and Culture Committee supports Council in fulfilling its responsibilities relating to people, safety, wellbeing and organisational culture. The Committee provides strategic oversight and advice to Council on matters fundamental to maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for staff and students, and to supporting the University’s values and long‑term success.

The Committee’s role brings together oversight of workforce strategy, leadership performance, remuneration and succession planning at senior levels, alongside governance‑level assurance of staff and student safety, wellbeing and cultural alignment. Through integrated consideration of these interconnected areas, the Committee supports Council in meeting its regulatory, governance and public accountability obligations, and in providing clear leadership on matters of institutional culture.
