2026 SymposiumSave the Date
The 2026 ECU TRACS Symposium will be held on Wednesday, 22 - Friday, 24 July at ECU City campus – contact tracsmrn@ecu.edu.au for more information.

The inaugural symposium, held in September 2024 to align with the WA Migration Update conference was a great success. ECU researchers from across four different Schools presented 28 papers in two days.

WA Migration and Mobilities Update conference

The WA Migration and Mobilities Update Conference is an annual event that brings together government, policymakers, not-for-profits, communities, and academics to explore critical issues in the field of migration.

The Update is supported by a steering group of representatives from universities, government, non-government, and community sectors, and convened each year by academics at each of the WA universities.

In 2024 ECU hosted the Migration Update for the first time with the theme of Mobility Justice: Youth, Ageing, Environment and Place, a critical ethical issue of our time.
