Gym-based strength training for patients with Parkinson's disease

The Centre for Precision Health welcomes Dr Dale Harris to the CPH Seminar Series. Dr Harris is a Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer in Exercise and Sports Science at Victoria University's Institute for Health and Sport.  Dr Harris’ research focuses on neuromuscular function, resistance training, and exercise rehabilitation, with a particular emphasis on Parkinson’s disease.

Dr Harris works closely with clinical, industry, and community partners to design exercise programs that are both evidence-based and feasible in real-world settings. He is currently leading clinical and translational research exploring how gym-based strength exercise training can improve physical function and potentially influence disease progression in people living with Parkinson’s disease.
