Ms Kate Jenkin

Kate Jenkin is a Clinical Practice Facilitator (CPF) for the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Her role is to prepare students for their future nursing careers by bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world clinical practice. Kate teaches practical skills in the school's demonstration labs that equip students with the necessary skills to provide safe and effective nursing care in health care settings.

CPF’s use a scaffolding approach to learning that slowly build on concepts and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to manage challenging situations. Another key responsibility of the CPF is to support and guide students throughout their clinical placements, assessing the students’ progress against the Registered Nurse standards of practice.
