Japan - INPEX Scholarship Foundation
INPEX Scholarship Foundation (a non-profit organisation connected with INPEX CORPORATION, Japan’s leading energy exploration and production company) offer two scholarship streams:
- Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship
- Postgraduate Masters study Scholarship
The Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship covers a one semester exchange duration for Japan's October-March semester for current ECU students and provides:
- Return Ticket Australia - Japan
- Domestic transportation Tokyo – Host University location
- Monthly scholarship ¥160,000 for the exchange period
- Japanese Language Study support up to ¥30,000
- Other Expenses as approved by ISF
Eligibility
- Australian citizen
- Enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at Edith Cowan University
- Apply for ECU exchange in Japan by 31 October the year prior to exchange
- Accepted at an ECU exchange partner in Japan for the October-March Semester
- Having excellent academic performance and being in good health.
- Interested in the constructive relationship between Australia and Japan, with the aspiration to contribute to its development.
- Not receiving any other scholarships in Japan during the exchange period
How to apply
Students should apply for exchange by 31 October of the preceding year at an ECU Exchange partner in Japan, to be automatically considered for the Scholarship. Contact studyoverseas@ecu.edu.au for any further exchange queries.
The Postgraduate Masters Scholarship covers a duration of up to two years and eight months, and provides:
- A monthly scholarship of ¥160,000
- Full coverage of university tuition and fees
- Return flights form Australia to Japan.
- Domestic transport support
- Settling-in allowance of ¥60,000
- Japanese language study support of up to ¥72,000
- Additional support for conference and/or field research
Eligibility*
- Australian Citizen
- Under 30 years of age at time of application
- Completed a Bachelor's degree from ECU with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 5.27/7 or above
- Not receiving any other scholarships in Japan during the study period

Gerald Frank Brown Scholarship
Looking to study in the UK or Europe? The Gerald Frank Brown scholarship offers a one-time payment of $2,000 for Western Australian university students to participate in a student exchange program with universities in the European Economic Community (outbound) or for high-achieving European students to study in Western Australia through a formal exchange program (inbound).

China Link Scholarship Program
Details: The China Link Scholarship is provided by the China Scholarship Council for students to study at a Chinese university for between 1 - 12 months in duration.
Applications are open to undergraduate or postgraduate students for a general scholarship or Ph.D students for a senior scholarship.

Onassis Foundation
Details: Scholarships for students wanting to study at postgraduate level or higher in Greece.
In 1995 the Foundation established an annual program of grants and scholarships for research, study and artistic endeavour within Greece. The educational program is intended exclusively for non-Greeks: members of national academies, university professors of all levels, Postgraduate students, PhD holders, post-doctorate researchers and doctoral candidates.

IKY – Foreign Nationals Scholarships
Details: The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), since 1964, grants scholarships for postgraduate or postdoctoral studies in Greece, as well as scholarships for the attendance of the Modern Greek Language and Culture. The programmes for postgraduate/postdoctoral studies are announced in January or February of each year, and the scholarships are offered to nationals (foreigners or of Greek origin).

Fulbright Scholarships
Details: The Australian-American Fulbright Commission promotes and supports educational and cultural exchange between Australia and America. Fulbright Scholarships are available to Australian citizens from all fields to undertake research or postgraduate study in the United States.
A number of scholarships are available depending on your career stage. The application round is usually announced in February each year.
