Carol is the Associate Dean - Student Experience in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. With over 20 years of experience in nursing education and more than three decades in healthcare, she is dedicated to creating exceptional learning experiences for students across Australia and internationally.

Carol has held a range of leadership and academic roles at ECU, including Director of International, Senior Lecturer, and Course Coordinator for the Master of Nursing (Graduate Entry) and Bachelor of Science (Nursing Studies) programs. Her expertise spans undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, student engagement, and international education.

Recognised locally and nationally for excellence in teaching, Carol has received numerous awards for her contribution to nursing education. Her research focuses on creating meaningful employment opportunities for undergraduate nursing and midwifery students, supporting their transition into the workforce while strengthening the future healthcare workforce.

Alongside her academic career, Carol has maintained strong clinical connections through ongoing community nursing practice, bringing a valuable blend of industry and educational experience to her leadership role.
