Stephanie is a Lecturer on the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) program in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, teaching into several units.

Background

Stephanie is a paediatric nurse practitioner (NP). She has worked for over 25 years in primary to quaternary children’s healthcare in Australia, New Zealand and the UK and has academic qualifications in education and nursing. Her paediatric nursing experience has ranged from generalist to very specialist areas, including primary healthcare, community development, paediatric pain management, paediatric palliative care, and aboriginal healthcare.

Since July 2017, Stephanie has been working in independent practice in Perth as a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner focusing on ongoing childhood health conditions in a NP-led Clinic. She has a special interest in childhood trauma and childhood adversity and works closely with other health and social service providers in this field. In addition to working at ECU, Stephanie will work part-time in her Clinic.
