The School of Science hosts an exciting annual event called the Get Connected Careers Fair. The purpose of the event is to encourage conversations relating to careers advice and how students can prepare for employment, whether they are commencing students or those about to graduate.
Our students will have the chance to network with industry professionals, explore the range of career pathways available with representatives from Australia’s top employers, learn about seasonal jobs and internships, and get the chance to speak to Graduate Program recruiters. Our students will also be able to learn more about industry associations related to their degree at the event. By engaging and networking with industry, the students will be able to receive a stamp on their 'Career Passport' from the industry stalls and if they have at least 6 different stamps, they can go into the draw to win amazing prizes such as a main prize of a Microsoft Surface Book or a minor prize of a ColesMyer gift voucher!
There will be an opportunity where our students can have their photo professionally taken for their LinkedIn account profile.
All students from the School of Science are invited, however, greatest benefit will be to those students in their final year of study looking for graduate recruitment rounds and/or offering post-graduation summer internships, showing new students what career options are available and the importance of starting their employment journey as early as possible.
