Precinct partners

Our campus is part of both an educational precinct, comprising South Regional TAFE and Manea Senior College, and a health precinct, with the South West Health Campus, St John of God Hospital and South West Area Health Services.

The development of these precincts has been a deliberate strategic move as part of our campus consolidation program, in which the University moved from five disparate campuses to three centres. We now have formalised agreements on co-operative research and professional development opportunities with the South West Health Campus and St John of God Hospital, as well as an ongoing and developing relationship in the educational community in Bunbury. At any time, multiple engagement projects and relationships are in operation, involving varied commitment and interaction by the Campus.

Manea Senior College

Manea Senior College has state of the art facilities and is the only specialist senior school in the south west of Western Australia. The College is co-located with ECU and the South Regional TAFE. The strong links Manea Senior College has with both institutions enables students to access University and vocational pathways.

Co-location with South Regional TAFE and ECU influences the Manea Senior College approach to its teaching and learning environment. The College maintains an adult ethos in its organisation of educational programs and interaction between staff and students. A focus on building positive relationships between students and staff is a key to the success of students. This represents a collaborative arrangement that provides enhanced opportunities for education and training for senior secondary students in the region.
