ECU Community Wellbeing Centres

Welcome to the School of Arts and Humanities Community Wellbeing Service Centres at Wanneroo and Yanchep

To support the mental health and wellbeing of our local communities, we offer high-quality, affordable support through our psychological and counselling services.

Edith Cowan University’s Community Wellbeing Service Centres at Wanneroo and Yanchep are state-of-the-art clinical and training centres that provide high-quality, accessible and affordable psychological and counselling services.

Clinical Psychology and Counselling & Psychotherapy students undertaking postgraduate training provide current, evidence-based clinical services under the direct supervision of experienced and professionally qualified supervisors.

What is Psychology?

  • The scientific study of human behaviour, thoughts and emotions.
  • It involves research, assessment and treatment relating to mental health and cognitive processes.
  • Psychologists may specialise in areas such as clinical psychology.

What is Counselling?

  • A professional relationship that helps individuals manage personal, social or psychological challenges.
  • It focuses on emotional support, personal growth and the development of coping strategies.
  • Counsellors often work in schools, community centres, private practice and health services.
