Radio ECU and Broadcasting

Building 13 on our Mount Lawley campus is home to Radio ECU which features programs created by both our undergraduate and postgraduate broadcasting courses. The students work with industry professional coordinators to prepare programs and news bulletins. Radio ECU can be heard online throughout the semester using the live player below.

On Fridays you can also hear the postgraduate students on 89.7 Twin Cities FM, Radio ECU also produces the The Monday WAFL, your weekly wrap-up of all the WA Football League action, including interviews with the big names, commentary on issues and highlights of the games. Visit The Monday WAFL web page for more information.

Building 13 on the Mount Lawley Campus also offers students a purpose built newsroom, production suites, teaching area and showcase radio studios, while in Building 6 you will find our TV studio and state-of-the-art postgraduate radio studios.

ECU broadcasting students also make Television Programs for both Channel 7 and Channel 9. And they are eligible for exclusive industry prizes, work placements and paid internships.

If you have a story worth telling, or songs that you would love to hear, email your music requests and story ideas to broadcasting@ecu.edu.au or call the talkback line on (61 8) 6304 6666.
