Inner City/Northbridge Youth at Risk Service Evaluation

The aim of this research project was to evaluate the Inner City/Northbridge Youth at Risk Service (ICNYRS) which is based in the Perth CBD and Northbridge, Western Australia. The ICNYRS provided street present support and referral for at-risk young people in the inner city area. The research project used a mixed methods approach and included both interview data and agency data collected for reporting purposes. The research occurred in four stages: Literature review, analysis of existing data, interviews with managers and service providers, interviews with young people and interviews with family members. The interview data was analysed thematically, and the evaluation identified areas where the program was achieving its intended outcomes, barriers to achievement of outcomes and achievable changes that would assist in service development.
