Chantelle is a Lecturer and Unit Coordinator at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Chantelle is an experienced emergency nurse currently undertaking a PhD focused on the function and impact of Rapid Assessment Units within the emergency department. Her clinical background spans emergency, trauma, and surgical nursing, where she has developed a strong foundation in acute care and patient-centred practice.
In addition to her clinical and academic pursuits, her research includes, co-authorship of the qualitative research project "My Hip Journey: A Qualitative Study of Patients’ Experiences of an eHealth Program for Patient Preparation and Recovery from Hip Replacement Surgery." This work reflects her ongoing interest in digital health innovations and patient experience.
She is currently actively involved in the integration of virtual reality into nursing education, contributing to the development and implementation of immersive learning strategies that enhance clinical preparedness and engagement among students.
Chantelle’s research and educational contributions have been recognised nationally and internationally, with invitations to present at both domestic and global conferences. She remains committed to advancing emergency nursing practice through research, innovation, and education.
