A Morning of Inspiration and Industry Insight
On Wednesday, 2nd October, the School of Science at Edith Cowan University hosted its inaugural Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Industry event, however this time it had a new look and feel - a morning Industry Breakfast, replacing the traditional Sundowner format. The event brought together over 60 industry partners and their WIL students for a vibrant morning of connection, insight and inspiration.
Organised by the dedicated WIL team Sam Phelan, Dr Mary Hanson and Aoife Celaya, the event saw an outstanding turnout and featured a dynamic panel of professionals who shared practical advice on mentorship, workplace readiness, emerging tech trends, and career-building strategies. Attendees represented a wide range of sectors including mining, government, finance, consultancy, SMEs, education, healthcare, technology, engineering, and environmental services - just to name a few.
