Overview of thesis

My PhD research explores how computer vision and artificial intelligence can be used to detect, track, and predict the freshness of fruits and vegetables inside smart refrigerator environments. The project investigates image-based monitoring methods for produce recognition, condition assessment, and early spoilage warning, with the aim of supporting more intelligent food management and reducing household food waste. The expected outcome is a practical AI framework that can improve freshness monitoring, dietary decision-making, and user interaction in future smart kitchen systems.
