Dr Abdul Basit

Abdul is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Edith Cowan University. His research focuses on utilising hypergraph-based methods for problems in machine learning.

Background

Abdul is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Edith Cowan University, working with Professor David Suter. His research focuses on applying combinatorial geometric methods to robust fitting problems in computer vision. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at Monash University and an Assistant Professor at Xiamen University Malaysia. He has also held postdoctoral positions at Iowa State University and the University of Notre Dame. Abdul received his PhD in Computer Science from Rutgers University and his undergraduate degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences
