Bee is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics and Mathematics in the School of Science. She is also the Course Coordinator for the Master of Data Science program.

Background

Bee brings over two decades of distinguished teaching experience across a wide range of mathematical disciplines, including applied statistics and applied mathematics. Her deep academic expertise, combined with a student-centered approach, enables her to communicate complex mathematical concepts with exceptional clarity and engagement.

In her leadership role, Bee has been instrumental in shaping curriculum design and academic delivery at the postgraduate level, ensuring that students are equipped with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical, industry-relevant skills.

Beyond academia, Bee has held strategic positions in risk management, having worked with major players such as Deutsche Bank, BHP, and Bankwest. Her extensive industry experience informs her teaching—particularly in the areas of statistical and decision analytics—and strengthens the real-world relevance of her academic practice. Her ability to integrate industry insights into the classroom has enriched student learning and fostered meaningful collaboration between academia and industry.
