Virtual learning abroad

A learning abroad experience will add value to your studies and help you stand out from the crowd. Though international travel may be unavailable, virtual programs continue to provide the opportunity to engage and learn on a global scale.

From putting your skills into practice during a remote industry placement to learning a new language in online classrooms, and everything in between, there is sure to be an experience for you.

Global Understanding @ ECU

The School of Arts and Humanities invites you to join Global Understanding @ ECU, an international online learning experience available through SAH2100 Cross-Cultural Knowledge and Global Citizenship.

This virtual classroom provides an opportunity to enhance your degree with an international study experience.
Connecting with students from China University of Political Science and Universidad Piloto, Colombia, in real-time you will explore the similarities and differences at individual and societal levels between cultural backgrounds.

Places are limited, so get in quick!

To apply please email international.office@ecu.edu.au with a brief statement addressing why you would like to complete Global Understanding @ ECU, attaching a Course Planner confirming you have room in your degree for the unit SAH2100. You can request a Course Planner from the Student Hub.

Summer School for Sustainability

University of Gothenburg is at the forefront of sustainability work in teaching and research, and the university has been highly ranked two years in a row in Times Higher Education´s ranking for its work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Dates: 5 -  30 July 2021

This is a chance to take action on sustainability and deepen your understanding of global challenges and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. A chance to join an international cohort of like-minded people for four inspirational weeks.

You may also be able to receive credit towards your ECU degree by participating in a virtual learning abroad program. To find out if a program is eligible to award credit, contact your Course Coordinator with the following information:

Once your Course Coordinator has approved your overseas study credit, submit the signed Overseas Study Credit Approval and confirmation of acceptance into the program to the Student Hub studyoverseas@ecu.edu.au.
