ECU Learning Centre Busselton

The ECU Learning Centre, Busselton, is the latest addition to ECU South West’s Regional Learning Centre network, offering even more services and opportunities for students.

Opening Hours

The Learning Centres regular opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Access

  • All current ECU South West students should have swipe card access to the ECU Learning Centre, Busselton, during its opening hours. Students from the Perth metro campuses will need to contact Centre Reception or ECU Security to request access.
  • Staff can apply for access through the Digital & Campus Services Kiosk.

If you are having issues accessing the Centre, please contact Centre Reception, call (08) 6304 2700 or ECU Security on (08) 6304 3333.

Accessibility

The ECU Learning Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps, double automatic doors and an accessible internal bathroom. For additional access needs, please contact Centre Reception or call (08) 6304 2700.

Transport and Parking

  • Free parking next to the Centre
  • Regular bus services 815, 816 and 817 stop at the ‘Peel Terrace After Queen Street’ outside The Busselton Senior Citizens Centre, next to the ECU Learning Centre

The newly refurbished Centre has:

  • Open-plan collaboration study areas
  • Bookable meeting rooms with conferencing facilities

  • Access to a dedicated student computers, plus single and dual monitors for student use
  • Printing facilities
  • Noise-cancelling headphones (loan only)
  • Full stocked kitchenette with complimentary healthy snacks and refreshments, tea and coffee facilities

  • Quiet study room
  • Sensory space with soft furnishings
  • Games, books and creative activities
  • Puzzle corner

Services

The Centre is staffed during its opening hours, with a dedicated team available to support students with queries.

A Learning Adviser is available daily at the Centre to provide you with academic support in either a pre-booked one-on-one appointment, a workshop or in a drop-in session. Learning Advisers can assist you with assignments, academic skills and other study support.

Peer Skills Advisers are friendly, experienced students who can help you with your studies and assignments. They offer help with study techniques, academic writing, access to academic skills resources and guidance on the services available at ECU. You can find them at the ECU Learning Centre, Busselton on Monday between 10am and 1pm.

Note that Peer Skills Advisers are here to help with your study skills, but they can't proof-read your assignment for you or provide detailed feedback. Your PSA may help you book an appointment with a Learning Adviser if they think you need more support than they can provide.

ECU Library books can be returned through the ECU Learning Centre, Busselton. Please drop off the returned books with the staff at the reception desk.
