The Arts are so important to our community and bring us all together. They give us joy, grace and hope.

While Heather built her reputation in investment, portfolio management, and stockbroking, remaining a leading figure in Western Australia’s finance and governance sectors for decades, her influence extends far beyond the business world. What’s less widely known is Heather’s deep and passionate commitment to the arts. She is a devoted supporter of all art forms, from dance, theatre and visual arts to film-making and creative writing. Heather truly understands the emotional power and profound engagement that the arts inspire, viewing them not just as a valuable pursuit, but as an essential investment in the wellbeing and vibrancy of our community.

“I find I smile, along with all the audience, from beginning to end of every performance I experience.”

The arts speak to the core of our humanity, connecting and inspiring us to do better and be better. This enrichment is what drives Heather to invest in the future of the arts, nurturing future generations of talent to be the best that they can be. She opens doors for those talented individuals to catapult themselves onto the world stage, share their gifts, and bring joy to everyone who sees them dance, sing, perform, or create:

One of this year’s recipients of the Dr Heather Zampatti Excellence in Dance Scholarships, classical ballet student Julia shares, just what it means to be supported by Heather to achieve her dreams:

“I loved the way I could express myself with movement, how I could put my heart and soul into a performance and share such emotion with my friends on stage and the audience.

Receiving this scholarship means so much to me. My aspiration for the future is to be dancing professionally in a ballet company, hopefully somewhere international. I want to be able to inspire people in the audience and continue to cultivate my love for this beautiful art form as a career. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity”
