Background

Dr Manonita Ghosh has a PhD in Public Health and Master’s in Anthropology from the University of Western Australia. She has expertise in mixed-methods research including qualitative, quantitative, linked data, systematic review and Delphi. Her research focuses on cultural influences on health behaviour, ageing and social care, health services research, and music and health.

For the past 15 years Manonita worked in academic, government and non-government organisations. During her time in non-government sectors, she developed and implemented community projects, and worked with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) communities at the grassroots level for building awareness of their health status. Dr Ghosh has a strong engagement in community music to create sense of belonging, to bridge the generation gap, and to enhance health and wellbeing particularly for migrant communities living in Western Australia.
