ECU School of Science staff welcoming our WIL Sundowner guests.
What an incredible night! On behalf of the WIL team Mary Hanson and Danielle Vandermeulen we would like to say huge thank you to all our industry hosts who came to celebrate another successful WIL year. Your continued support for our WIL program, dedication and mentorship for our students is invaluable to their future careers.
Congrats to our 2023 WIL students who have completed their WIL placements, it was fantastic to talk with you on the night. The future is extremely bright!
A big thank you to Justin Brown, who had the foresight to start this incredible WIL program 10+ years ago. The program has gone from strength to strength, uniquely offering students the opportunity to partake in substantial WIL placement opportunities in their final semester. This enables our students to link their academic learning in an industry environment, increasing both technical and professional skills, dramatically increasing their overall employability!
Finally, to the ECU School of Science exec team Andrew Woodward, Paul Haskell-Dowland, Elizabeth Watkin, Stacey Reinke and Phyll Mahon thank you for your support, allowing the growth and development of the WIL program.
We are always open to new industry partnerships! If you are interested in engaging with our WIL program and work with the next generation of talented professionals in the computer and security or the science and maths field, feel free to contact us!
