Dr Georgia Psaroulis

Background

Georgia has worked in industry for over 20 years across and has a business and information systems background specialising in cyber security.  She has extensive experience in solving complex business problems by cutting across organisational boundaries and collaborating with the gatekeepers.

She was conferred in July 2022 as a Doctor of Philosophy in Cyber Security, Business & Management at Adelaide Business School, University of Adelaide. Thesis titled: "Leadership in Organisational Cyber Security”.

This study makes three major contributions to theory and practice:

  1. Organisational safety and wellbeing requiring corporate cyber governance that is led by the Executive.
  2. That the CISO become a strategic trusted advisor in cyber corporate governance, security, and resilience.
  3. Elimination of disciplinary fragmentation and siloed approaches (academic and professional) and instead building collaboration and co-opetition, and eventually a coherent, systemic multidiscipline.

She is a Certified Fraud Examiner from Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, 2015. Georgia is working on publishing articles from her thesis.
