Staff parking permits

Apply for a staff parking permit

Staff parking permits are available through the ePermits Self Service Portal

Before applying, refer to the  How to Apply for an ePermit user guide.

Important: Your permit is not valid until you receive a confirmation email showing your permit status as "GRANTED". A permit with a status of Pending or any other status does not authorise parking.

Staff parking permits are valid in blue line-marked parking bays only.

The following staff parking permits are available:​

  • Full Time
  • Part Time
  • Annual
  • Semester
  • City Campus

Your permit cost depends on your employment status:

Part-time: Less than 1.0 FTE.

Alternatively, daily or weekly permits are available in ePermits, or via PayStay QR codes provided by the ECU Parking Team.

Staff who regularly work between the City Campus and Joondalup may be eligible for a discounted City Campus permit.

A letter of authorisation from your line manager must be uploaded with your application.

Please  note: There is no parking available at the City Campus.  This permit provides discounted parking at other eligible ECU campuses.

Staff can pay for parking using one of the following methods:

  • Payroll deductions:​ available to permanent ongoing staff only.​
  • Pay Up-Front: Purchase either an annual permit or a single semester permit.
  • ​Daily or weekly permits: Available in ePermits, or PayStay QR codes provided by the ECU Parking Team.

Casual and sessional staff are not eligible for payroll deduction and must use one of the other payment options.

Semester permits (Pay Up-Front Only):​

  • Full Time: $157.90​.
  • Part Time: $95.09​.

​Annual permits:​

  • Full Time:  $313.51​.
  • Part Time: $187.79.​

Reserved Staff Parking permits are available to staff only and are issued on an annual basis (January-December).

  • Full Time: $723.81​
  • Part Time: $436.50​

All staff can submit an application for a Reserved Staff permit through the ePermits portal; however, permits are only approved for existing permit holders or applicants who have reached the top of the waiting list.

  • A valid ePermit must be obtained through the ePermit Self Service Portal.
  • The ePermit must be shown as GRANTED for parking to be authorised.  Any other status such as "Pending" does not authorise parking.
  • Permits are issued for specific person.
  • There is the ability to change vehicle registration instantly within the ePermit Self Service Portal This is monitored for misuse.  Any misuse of this feature will result in the permit being revoked.
  • Any misuse of the Permit system is considered a serious offence and may impact on employment or enrolment status.
  • The granting of a parking permit does not entitle the permit holder to the use of any particular University parking area, only that as the authorised zone of the permit.
  • Please note car park 20 on the Joondalup campus and car park 4 at the South West Campus is a shared staff/student parking zone irrespective of line marking.

If you are hosting a visitor on campus, you have several parking options.

Option 1 – Purchase a Guest Permit

Purchase a Guest Parking Permit through the  ePermits Self Service Portal on behalf of your visitor.

Guest permits allow parking in blue and red line-marked bays.

Fees:

  • Daily Permit - $5
  • Weekly Permit - $10

Payment is by credit card only.

Multiple vehicle registrations can be included in a single transaction.

Guest permit are non-refundable.

Option 2 – QR Code Parking

Provide your guest with a Daily ($5) or Weekly ($10) QR code, available from the ECU Parking Team.

Option 3 – Visitor Parking

Guests may also use designated visitor parking areas located across ECU campuses.
