Awards and prizes

ECU's School of Business and Law is an energetic and dynamic school with over 5,000 students from 78 countries offering courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree by research level. Our dedicated academics have an enviable reputation in Australia for the quality of their teaching and learning, evidenced by consistent five-star ratings in the Good Universities Guide for fourteen years running.

Being part of the ECU community doesn’t end with graduation, with past ECU students being able to continue experiencing the benefits provided by the university with the ECU alumni program.

Dean's List

The Dean’s List recognises the top 5% of graduating coursework students each year, based on their overall course average. This includes research students graduating with first class honours or with outstanding performance in their thesis.

Student prizes

Each year the School of Business and Law recognises the outstanding achievements of our students through Student prizes. Prize winners are chosen according to an eligibility criteria with awards spanning all course disciplines.

  • School Research Medal
    A School Research Medal is the School's most prestigious research prize, awarded to the highest achieving student graduating from a higher degree by research from within the School of Business and Law, being judged on the quality of the research thesis submitted for the award.
  • School Medal
    Awarded for outstanding scholarship in a programme offered by the School of Business and Law.
