Dr. Tanzim Afroz is the HDR Coordinator and a Lecturer in the School of Business and Law.

Background

Tanzim joined the School of Business and Law at ECU in 2016, after completing her PhD in Law from Macquarie University, Australia. She is the recipient of the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (duration 2010-2013), Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund (2012), and ECU Collaboration Enhancement Scheme for a collaborative national and international interdisciplinary research (2017-2018). She has been awarded with three gold medals from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh for her extra-ordinary academic performance.

Tanzim has several publications in renowned journals like Bond Law ReviewEnvironmental and Planning Law JournalAsia Pacific Viewpoint and Ocean & Coastal Management. She has presented papers at prestigious conferences at home and abroad including “the 10th Annual Colloquium of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law” at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, USA, “2011 Human Rights and Governance Colloquium” at Queensland University of Technology, Australia and “the Asian Society of International Law 7th Biennial Conference” held in Manila, the Philippines (2019).
