Downstream air dilution and raw biomass pulverization into swirling flames

Biomass is an important renewable energy source with potential to reduce reliance on fossil fuels in combustion systems. Pulverised flames find application in a wide range of high (thermal) power applications. This PhD project investigates the use of the of pulverised biomass into swirl, with particular focus on the role of both (downstream) air dilution and the inclusion of (raw) biomass into swirling jets and flames.
