Bringing over a decade of diverse professional experience to Edith Cowan University, Ashley serves in high school engagement, connecting prospective students with pathways into higher education. With a background spanning engineering studies, event operations, and five years in hospitality management, Ashley combines practical operational leadership with a passion for student development and lifelong learning.

Throughout five years managing fast-paced hospitality environments, Ashley led teams through complex, high-pressure operations while prioritizing people-centric growth. Having mentored and upskilled over 200 staff members, Ashley developed a strong leadership foundation centered on clear communication, decisive problem-solving, and fostering confidence in others. This extensive experience in managing dynamic event environments translates seamlessly into creating engaging, high-impact experiences for secondary school communities.

As a mature-age student at ECU specializing in project management, Ashley views career development as an evolving journey of continuous growth, adaptability, and self-reflection. An experienced speaker to high school groups, Ashley leverages this unique perspective to inspire young people navigating their future study and career options.

In their current high school engagement role, Ashley applies structured project management principles, strong interpersonal skills, and authentic leadership to build meaningful bridges between secondary schools and the university community.
