Biography

Dr Stefan Lachowicz obtained his MEngSc and PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Lodz University of Technology, Poland, in 1981 and 1986 respectively. He was an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Electronics at the same university from 1986 until 1992. In 1992 he worked as electronics design engineer for Speedycom Pty Ltd, in Perth, Western Australia. In 1993 he took the post at Edith Cowan University as a lecturer in electronic engineering. Since 2000, he has been a senior lecturer in electrical engineering at ECU. His current research interests include renewable energy generation, micro grids, power quality, and power optimisation.
