Molecular Ecology and Genomics Facility

The Molecular Ecology and Genomics facility at ECU is fully equipped for current molecular work across a range of organisms. These facilities include several well-equipped molecular laboratories for pre- and post- PCR molecular lab work for enabling DNA and RNA isolation from plants, animals, insects and microbes as well as environmental samples such as water and soil. This infrastructure is supported by research and expertise in the areas of whole genomic sequencing and bioinformatics, population genomics, evolutionary genomics, microbial ecology, conservation genetics and environmental DNA (eDNA). The facilities are available to research staff, HDR students and external partners.
