National Student Safety Survey

Thank you to every student who considered or took part in the 2026 National Student Safety Survey.

We recognise that participating may have required time and reflection.

The survey gave eligible students an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives on sexual violence and harm. The experiences and perspectives shared will help build a clearer understanding of student experiences and inform ongoing work to strengthen prevention, support and action across the university sector.

Support for students

Support remains available. Our priority is to ensure that all students have access to safe and confidential support services.

Results

Results will be released in the first half of 2027. ECU’s Respect at ECU Advisory Group, which includes students, will guide the actions the university takes.

ECU is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students. Our Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan guides our response to previous surveys and ourapproach to meeting our legislative and ethical obligations.
