Biography

Alexis is an early career researcher with a background in industrial relations and labour history. He recently completed his PhD in Curtin University’s School of Management on work, employment relations and trade unionism in the Pilbara iron ore industry. He has a strong inter-disciplinary background, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from UWA, and has taught at Curtin, UWA and ECU. He has published on trade unions and social issues, and unions in the mining sector. Alexis also brings policy and research experience from roles in the public service and NGOs.
