Peiwen is a Lecturer in Management in the School of Business and Law.
Peiwen completed her PhD in Management at Edith Cowan University. She also holds a Master of Business Studies with Distinction from Massey University and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from HELP University, Malaysia. Her interest in sustainability developed during her postgraduate studies and professional experience, where she examined sustainability practices in New Zealand organisations and identified the critical role of leadership in driving meaningful change. Her interdisciplinary background in psychology and business sustainability continues to shape her research and teaching.
Her research focuses on corporate sustainability, particularly sustainability leadership, ethical business practices, societal grand challenges, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She adopts an applied approach and has contributed to sustainability and ESG projects with for-purpose organisations and industry partners, including sustainability strategy, reporting, environmental and carbon management, and sustainable supply chains.
During her postgraduate studies, Peiwen worked as a teaching assistant and research associate. She now teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in management, human resource management, sustainability, and business ethics. She is committed to supporting students in developing an understanding of complex, interconnected sustainability issues while fostering critical thinking, engagement with real-world challenges, and the application of knowledge in meaningful ways.
