Sue is a Senior Research Officer in the School of Business and Law. She supports the Teaching and Learning Office with the Assurance of Learning process.

Biography

Sue has been involved in higher education, training and development since 2004 and has always been ahead of the curve as an early adopter and practitioner of technology enhanced learning. She has spent over eight years at ECU in both academic and professional roles, with part of that time in the School of Business and Law. Sue ran her own business from 2010, specialising in organisational learning and development.  During this period, she has: consulted as an auditor of quality learning and associated processes across numerous organisations; completed significant bodies of work in the space of elearning instructional design, development and delivery; teaching educators to become better facilitators in the online learning space; and successfully run and completed large change management projects for state government agencies.

One of her career highlights to date was running an international study tour, partnering with the Department of Foreign Affairs, National Government of Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Palladium Group – politically visible to both the Australian and PNG governments.  The tour was designed to assist driving strategic government sector reforms in PNG targeting leadership and ethics.  The entire experience was significantly empowering from both a professional and personal perspective – an opportunity to assist in the enablement of an entire nation state towards a better future does not come along every day.

Sue says coming back to work at ECU and the School of Business and Law is like coming home and she is loving it more than ever.
