Dr Allen Au from ECU’s School of Business and Law met with research leaders at Fu Jen Catholic University (FCU) in Taiwan to explore how the two universities could collaborate on new, meaningful projects.

During a recent visit to Asia, Dr Au met with FCU Professors Wei-Feng Tung, Head of the Department of Information Management, and Chien-Hsiang Liao, Deputy Head of the Office of Academic Affairs to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Discussions focused on research interests and the possible joint projects, particularly involving FCU’s master's students in information management.

One of the most promising outcomes was a discussion on collaborative projects that would involve Fu Jen’s master’s students contributing to ECU-led research. Student exchange programs were also explored as a potential future direction.

“It was a valuable visit that showed us how our teams can work together in the future.” said Dr Au. “It was a great way to share our research focus areas and start planning projects which will mutually benefit the students and research of both universities”

The visit represents an important step in bringing ECU and Fu Jen’s partnership to life and helping form a growing network of global research opportunities.
