ECU School of Business and Law reaches the global top 250 in Times Higher Education rankings

Edith Cowan University’s School of Business and Law has soared to the top 201–250 global rankings for Business and Economicsin the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, marking a major step forward on the international stage.

Leaping up from the 251–300 band last year, the result places ECU School of Business and Law’s performance firmly among Western Australia’s strongest institutions.

Rising through the ranks

The Times Higher Education rankings set a global benchmark for university performance, evaluating institutions across teaching, research quality, industry engagement and international outlook.

Our School recorded high scores in research quality, industry engagement, teaching quality, and international outlook, reflecting our consistent, growing strength across these fields.

A shared victory

Executive Dean of the School of Business and Law, Professor Maryam Omari, said the result was a wonderful reflection of the people driving the performance.

“This result belongs to our entire School of Business and Law community,” Professor Omari said.

“I couldn’t be more proud of our staff, students and partners, whose care, commitment and generosity of spirit continue to lift us to new heights. This recognition reflects the way our people show up for each other every day and affirms that the work of our School is felt well beyond our campus.”
