Three ECU School of Business and Law educators have been recognised in the 2025 Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT), receiving national Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning as part of award-winning teams.
Dr Richard Hughes was recognised through the Incarcerated Student Advancement Project team for advancing equitable, institution-wide support for incarcerated students and strengthening pathways to education and reintegration.
Associate Professor Claire Lambert and Dr Melissa Fong-Emmerson were recognised through the Marketing Education for Cultural Growth team for embedding Indigenous perspectives into the marketing curriculum and fostering respectful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The Australian Awards for University Teaching are the nation’s peak recognition for excellence in university learning and teaching. Coordinated by Universities Australia, the awards celebrate programs and practices that enhance student learning and promote excellence across the higher education sector.
