Resources to Support Diversity and Inclusion Maturity in the Workplace

The benefits of diverse and inclusive workplaces are well documented. Capability maturity models are useful tools to help identify current and desired levels of maturity and plan for continuous improvement. ECU’s Diversity & Inclusion Capability Maturity Model (ECU D&I CMM) provides a practical, evidence-based approach to ensuring D&I are embedded throughout the organisation. The ECU D&I CMM is available to download here, along with some support resources to assist organisations to utilise the CMM to advance their D&I maturity. The MARS research team request any users to cite the tool as per the citation details provided in these resources and we welcome your feedback about how you’ve found using the package

The Psychosocial Risk Management Activator (PRiMA) - A psychosocial risk management toolkit for managers and WHS professionals in the mining sector

The PRiMA Toolkit was developed and evaluated by the MARS Centre in collaboration with the University of New South Wales and the WA mining sector. The Toolkit draws on the Code of Practice: Psychosocial hazards at work for fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workers in the resources sector: Work health and safety and transitional codes of practice and the WA Code of Practice for Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace

The PRiMA Toolkit is freely available to the mining sector. It includes writable/interactive fields into which you can make your notes and record your risk assessment and control strategies. While you can use PRiMA independently, we recommend completing the PRiMA Toolkit within a group (Steering Group or Working Group) setting to ensure multilevel and multifunctional input from your organisation/mine site.

The PRiMA Toolkit starts with selection of a ‘psychosocial risk problem’ that is impacting the organisation/mine site and walks the user/s through a four step process that culminates in the production of an action plan to address the psychosocial risk problem identified.
