Food and nutrition at the individual and systems level
The Nutrition & Dietetics Research Team at ECU translate nutritional research into practice with a view to improve health outcomes for all Australians. This includes an approach at an individual level where food and nutrition as medicine can optimise health, reduce the risk of chronic disease and improve development and performance and at a systems level, where change to our food environments mean healthier places for our communities to live and thrive. We invest in researching new and emerging issues and discovering novel ways to provide dietary improvements across the lifespan with a view to enhance wellbeing. It is within these parameters that the research team produces outputs that impact a broader Australian community.
