Dr Ayeisha Milligan Armstrong

Adjunct Lecturer

Ayeisha is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Precision Health. Her research focusses on understanding the relationships between genetics x environment interactions and Alzheimer’s disease.

Research Areas and Interests

Ayeisha’s research focuses on understanding how genetics and environmental factors interact to influence the development and progression of Alzheimer's disease. Her key research areas include:

  • The impact of variations in stress-related genes and epigenetic changes on brain health, cognition, and inflammation
  • Gene × environment interactions
  • Polygenic risk assessment
  • Statistical genetics
