Background

Dr Gina Ambrosini is an accomplished public health nutritionist and epidemiologist whose career spans 25 years in academia and almost a decade working in senior government roles in public and preventive health.

Dr Ambrosini has an internationally recognised track record in nutrition epidemiology including nearly 100 publications. Her published research has advanced dietary assessment methodology and knowledge of how dietary patterns and food environments influence adiposity in children and young people. Through her international experience at the UK Medical Research Council in Cambridge she has sustained collaborations with researchers across the UK and Europe, with her work drawing from longitudinal studies such as the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC, UK) and the EU Childhood Obesity Project (CHOP), as well as extensive foundational work in WA's Raine Study.
