Ms Samantha Veurink

Samantha Veurink is a Research Project Coordinator in the Food Environments Team, within the Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute, School of Medical and Health Sciences. She is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality research projects, specifically related to school food environments and consumer food environments.

Background

Samantha has extensive experience working as a Project Coordinator and Program Manager, across a large diversity of health promotion research projects. She has a strong background in early childhood development, nutrition education and food environments. Prior to her career in Health Promotion and Public Health, Samantha was a Registered Nurse, primarily working in Neonatal Intensive Care in Perth’s leading tertiary hospitals.

Research Areas and Interests

My research interests focus on child & adolescent public health nutrition, food environments and school-based nutrition education.
