Background

Nick is a clinical expert in childhood kidney diseases and hypertension, clinical epidemiologist and trialist.

He has clinical expertise caring for children with all form of kidney disease after working and training across Australia and in Vancouver, Canada. He has a specific interest in high blood pressure in children and adverse early life cardiometabolic risk trajectories, developed during his PhD studying hypertension and albuminuria among Australian children. In addition, Nick is a recognised expert in paediatric transplantation and glomerulonephritis. He holds specific research training by way of a MMed (Clin Epi) and works closely with the Centre for Kidney Research, Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Nick is passionate about practising evidence-based medicine, based on high-quality clinical research and translation through collaboration with consumers informed by robust evidence synthesis and guideline development.
