Bachelor of Science (Paramedical Science) K89

The School of Medical and Health Sciences require that your pre-placement preparation documentation is up to date at the start of each semester and remain valid for the duration of your placement(s).

Mandatory Requirements:

Health-related checks

COVID-19

  • Mask Fit Testing Certificate

Clearances

Health and Safety

  • Applied First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • Manual Handling (Hybrid: theory online, practical in unit)
  • Annual CPR Update (HLTAID009) – Needs to be current during placement

Health, Safety and Risk Management

  • Declaration of Confidentiality
  • Discipline Specific Student Agreement

Placement Site Specific Requirements:

  • Some placement sites will require completion of their own specific pre-placement preparation documentation.
  • You will be notified of requirements in SONIA (SMHS Placement Management System) or by your Placement/Unit Coordinator.
