ECU Celebrates Wear It Purple Day 2022

ECU staff and students celebrated Wear It Purple Day on Friday 26 August, by wearing purple and holding events on each campus.

Events included staff morning teas, trans, gender diverse and non-binary student meet ups, music and activities on South West campus, and a Guild cupcake sale on Mount Lawley Campus.

Over $700 was raised from these events and activities, for WA LGBTIQA+ youth service Freedom Centre (there is still time to donate on the GoFundMe fundraiser page here).

The Wear It Purple Day photo competition saw some great entries submitted, with the following winners from each campus:

  • South West - Office of DVC (Regional Futures)
  • Mount Lawley - ECU Guild Queer Collective
  • Joondalup  - Strategic and Governance Services

Winners will be contacted soon to organise picking up your prize pack.
