Learning Destinations

The Children’s University program opens a world of learning possibilities to young minds by embracing local learning opportunities offered by places such as public libraries, zoos, parks, museums, art galleries, theatres, sporting clubs, school clubs as well as local businesses. These places are called Learning Destinations.

The learning activities available at Learning Destinations are designed to have links to higher education learning and courses. For example:

  • School STEM Club = science, engineering, computing, maths
  • Sports Club = sports science, health science, teacher education
  • Theatre = performing arts, acting, dance, arts management.

Through our network of accredited and quality assured Learning Destinations, members accumulate hours of learning and receive stamps in their Passport to Learning. At the end of each year, a formal Graduation Ceremony marks achievement and celebrates the learning of our young scholars.

Benefits of becoming a Learning Destination:

  • Encourages visitation
  • Raising your community profile
  • Promotes your events and programs
  • Connects your organisation to an international network
  • Supports learning
