Atlantis & Tall Tree Learning@ECU

What is Atlantis and Tall Tree Learning@ECU?

The Atlantis and Tall Tree Learning@ECU program is a tailored opportunity for current employees of Atlantis Group and Tall Tree Early Learning to further their qualifications in early childhood education.

Developed through a collaborative partnership between Edith Cowan University, The Atlantis Group, and Tall Tree Early Learning, this unique initiative allows eligible team members to fast-track their Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) by building on their existing skills and experience.

This pathway recognises your professional expertise and may reduce your study time by up to 12 months, bringing you closer to graduation.

About ECU’s Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) course

This nationally accredited course is designed to graduate early childhood professionals who are ready to teach in schools and early learning centres and advocate for childhood. A key feature of this course is connecting theory with practice. Graduates will have the knowledge, skills and practices to be able to develop high quality early childhood education programs for children from birth to 8 years of age.


Frequently asked questions

Diploma-qualified educators employed by The Atlantis Group or Tall Tree Early Learning who work a minimum of 30 hours per week and meet ECU’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) criteria for entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) are eligible.

Eligible participants may fast-track up to one year of the four-year degree, commencing directly in the second year, subject to meeting RPL requirements.

Interested educators should contact their employer to express their interest. Upon approval, Atlantis Group or Tall Tree Early Learning will liaise with ECU to facilitate enrolment.

There are two intakes annually, in February and July. Start dates will be discussed on an individual basis to align with enrolment timelines and workplace considerations.

Yes. The course is delivered part-time via online education, allowing participants to remain in their current roles. Any changes to work hours must be discussed as they may affect program eligibility.

Participants sign a training agreement with Atlantis Group or Tall Tree Early Learning outlining financial obligations should they defer, withdraw, or leave the organisation before completing the degree or a specified post-study period. In such cases, partial or full repayment of course fees may be required.

Once 50% of the course is completed, participants may be counted toward staff-child ratios as Early Childhood Teachers. However, placement in such a role is subject to availability and organisational needs.
